forbidden treasure blogaberry book review
I loved the cover of the book. It showed that there were 7 characters, which made me curious about the roles they played in the story. The ancient symbols were also raising questions in my mind. But, how they would find the treasure was all I wanted to know.
Name: The Patriots’ Legacy – Forbidden Treasure

Rating: 4/5
The title is apt and fit the story well. I love treasure hunts and mysteries and the title indeed caught my eye before anything else did. The subtitles perfectly covered the point of each chapter.
The author has translated in English whenever there were non-English mentions. This makes the book quite enjoyable by almost everyone who loves mysteries.
It was a nice mystery wrapped up around friends who had similar interests and how they go about find each clue. Just like a treasure hunt.
I found the font size and style as well as the paragraph spacing quite comfortable and easy to read.
The language used was simple. I did learn a few new words, too.
The characters belonged to various religions.
It reminded me of ‘Secret Seven’ by Enid Blyton and how the group would solve mysteries.
The author has created a wonderful story that includes Bollywood drama, Hollywood car chases, history, crime, cannibals and mind boggling codes to solve.
There was a lot of information on heritage sites and architecture, which I love learning about.
The end was quite a happy one, though the last line left me wondering whether there would be a sequel with more information on the why, how and when.
The characters were from different parts of the world, but I felt like they were all brought up in India, because of the way they spoke.
A couple of things were repeated unnecessarily.
There were a few negligible grammatical errors.
Funnily, I observed that the word ‘frantically’ was used 7 times in the whole book. But, I really enjoyed how the author has created clues and solved them in order to get to the next one. This story also teaches you that only determination will help you achieve your goal.

This post reminds me to read books!! Lovely review and interesting premise it seems to be.
This book seems quite intriguing to me. It’s been a while that I have read something relatively lighter. I really loved how you have simplified the review and given the gist to help readers make an informed decision before buying the book. I am ordering mine 🙂
The cover reminded me of the movie The Magnificent 7. Other than the very few negatives points, I guess the book is a nice read.
I loved the story!

Haha, no that wasn’t intentional. I just happened to notice.
Having grown up on a rich diet of Enid Blyton books including Secret Severn, Famous Five, etc., the book seems to have grabbed my interest. Would be nice to read a book in this genre after a long time. The book sounds really interesting.
