Love evolves from friendship
Enmity from love,
Crushes are just confusions
Sent from above.
Crushes come
And crushes go.
Plenty there are,
But, hardly show!
God gave us a heart
For us to choose friends;
When infatuation interferes
Friendship usually ends.
Some crushes are obsessions
Some are not;
Few turn into love,
Most just rot.
For those with obsessions,
Life gets tough;
For those in love
Nothing is enough.
Love is like an idea
Suddenly hit;
Comes to you when
You’re least expecting it.
In the beginning
It’s like a new fad;
Fresh and exciting,
Trendy and rad.
Entangled in dilemmas
With fights that soon go bad,
Love gets intolerable
And people become sad.
Sadness invites animosity,
Masquerading wolves in the dark;
Violent, vicious, vengeful
Awaiting the opportune mark.
Life, with an intense enemy,
Is hard enough to bear.
And, the more the verbal warfare,
The less we give to care.
So, next time you sniff some love,
However, to you, it appears,
Make sure you listen to your heart
Or you’ll wind up in tears and fears.
