A STRANGE FRIEND INDEED

Future is a stranger to us, we know
Way ahead we have to go
To find what lurks in the dark shadow
Time will tell, is what we hear as we grow

There are times when we fear
Strangest moments of despair
Heart aches, pains and hurt we bear
Time will heal, is what we know for sure

Unaware are we of the opportunity at site
Waiting for us to make our future bright
Knocking on our door, however we were too trite
But they say it will happen when the time is right

A stranger to us, but so well we blend
In the walk of life, accompanies us till the end
From dawn to dusk, though not a helping hand will lend
Time is indeed the strangest friend!

Having 18 years of work experience in various corporate industries, I realized that many years of working only added weight to my resume, instead of to my creativity. That is when I took a break for a year and changed what I did. I started a small drama school for kids up to the age of 10, became a trainer in SAT English for students of grade 10 to 12 and also ran workshops on Personality Development for school teachers. Simultaneously, I took to writing poems and skits and realized that writing gave me a platform to express myself and also bring out some latent creativity. I'm hoping you will relate to most of my work.
